The first time that I attempted to bake cookies was an ABSOLUTE disaster.
After returning from Walmart with all of the ingredients to make chocolate chip cookies from scratch, I followed my recipe and preheated the oven.
Not thinking...I left one of my two cookie sheets inside of the oven while it was preheating.
After I was done preparing the cookies and ready to put them in the oven, I proceeded to take the hot cookie and take it into my dining room. Not thinking, I placed it on my beautiful new carpeting!!
About an hour later, while enjoying one of my so-so chocolate chip cookies...I began cleaning up. However, for some reason unknown to me at the time, my cookie sheet was sticking to the carpet! I tugged and tugged until it finally came loose and then noticed a HUGE burn the shape and size of the entire cookie sheet on my beige berber carpeting! It was an absolute nightmare!
Even though my cookies were edible...my carpet was left in ruins!
